This is the second 9 in a set of 18 discussion guides for Christian cell groups, home fellowship groups, and Bible study groups based on John’s Gospel.
The approach taken was to allow a passage from John’s Gospel to suggest a contemporary image. This is then presented as a window on the world.
Discussion suggestions are aimed at opening up the topic and encouraging participation, building up the group and encouraging reflection on the topic.
There are no right or wrong answers to the questions. They are meant to stimulate thought and discussion and thus to lead to a deepening and enriching of one’s faith.
The whole of John’s Gospel has been dealt with in this way – some passages very short, others much longer – but they have been arranged in themes with around six sessions on each theme.
